Networking at Bespoke Approach

For those Burns Trust Club members who came along to the office of Bespoke Approach, the unseasonal warm August weather made for a beautiful evening out in the courtyard!

Many thanks to Ian Smith, Nick Bolkus, Heidi Kneebone and Emily Minson for having the group attend their lovely Hutt St offices and for making us all feel so welcome.

Network Ten Visit

Thanks to all of those Burns Trust Club members who took time out of their busy schedule to attend the tour of the Network Ten studios. The group was shown around the studio area by Marketing Manager Rob Richards and Promotions Executive Nadia Barnes and given an inside look into the work that actually goes into the 5pm news bulletin.

Mark Aiston and Jane Reilly gave us a true experience of an on air presenter, showing us how a story is created and then the team got an opportunity to put their presenting skills to the test! (Pictured left: Christian from Finsbury Press looks right at home in front of the camera!)

Thanks again to the team at Network Ten for making us feel so welcome!

Lunch with Dr John Greenwood

Thanks to all those Burns Trust Club members who made it along to the National Wine Centre in February.

Dr John Greenwood, Director of the RAH Burns Unit gave a presentation on the cause, types and recovery process of burns injury. This information was delivered to give members a understanding of the work undertaken by the Julian Burton Burns Trust and the crucial support of our corporate partners that allow us to continue this.

Special thanks to Wayne Griffiths, whose recollections of the Black Tuesday Bushfires gave an insight into the personal tragedy of burns and a perspective of the experiences of those involved in the Victorian Bushfire crisis.

Thanks to WorkCover SA for supporting this luncheon.

WorkCover SA Sponsor Launch

The Burns Trust Club welcomed in our 0809 sponsors, WorkCover by celebrating at Bar Cuba above the Union Hotel. About 30 of the group caught up with existing members, and also had the opportunity to network with our newest recruits: WorkCover SA and Escape Travel.

Thanks to everyone who helped us welcome the WorkCover Team and we look forward to announcing the next function for Burns Trust Club members!

Vili's Bakeoff

Culinary skills were put to the test when Adelaide icon Vili Militsis invited the Burns Trust Club for a personal tour of the famous bakery!

Club members finished their tour with a baking session learning to make Vili's pasties, polishing off a big breakfast in Vili's Cafe while the end result was baked to perfection.

Members' colleagues didnt miss out - Club members were able to take their creations back to the office for some very tough critics!
