UPDATE: Congratulations Erik on completing the marathon in approx 4 hours and 50 minutes!

Julian Burton Burns Trust Chairman Erik Metanomski (pictured left) will now be lining up to compete in the 2010 Gold Coast Marathon on Sunday 4th July, after the volcanic ash situation in Europe prevented his participation in the London Marathon in April.

After a successful result in the 2008 New York Marathon where the running group raised $40,000 for the Burns Trust Family Rescue, Erik is in training once again to fundraise for the Burns Trust, with $30,000 in donations pledged to date.

On behalf of the Burns Trust team, we wish Erik the best of luck for the marathon and congratulate him on his fundraising efforts.
